What is Cold Reading

The main point to me was the fact that someone listened. Even though they listened for financial gain and not because they cared necessarily, the people would leave feeling better. Cold Reading would be a great skill to possess because it could help us in everyday life in all aspects. Imagine if you could cold read your boss, or your spouse. Our everyday lives are so hectic we barely get a chance to ask for what we need let alone have someone see our pain, happiness, or financial need. I do feel that some people have the have the ability to feel or sense things about others, whether it's supernatural or not is the question.
