Consciousness, is this the same as Soul?? Nueral net referring to the scientist trying to explain everything versus the Pure Spirit. I liked to be in the middle somewhere if I could, I would like to understand but without compromising my belief system. The qualities that make up the conscious include family, exposure to society, and the area you live or grow up in. These contributions make up the people we are and what we will become.
The transcending I'm not so sure about, I know I love to dream and travel in my sleep, many people are able to deeply daydream, to the point where they don't seem to be inside themselves. I'm not sure what the answer would be to find out or prove if this is truly possible, but I have heard stories about out of body experiences. One was a person suffering a heart attack in an emergency room and they felt themselves leave their body and watch from above. They could tell you exactly what the doctors had done and said, how would they prove it? Who are we to question it? I would have to say that I think I agree with Wilbur, that the Spirit, Human Spirit, is the basis for all matter.
